When faced with false accusations, beyond exposing the truth, we naturally want to defend our reputations. When faced with lies and false charges in Acts chapter 7, Stephen isn’t concerned about his own situation, but is only concerned about the message of the gospel, and God’s truth.

It can be difficult to take a stand for our faith, to speak up, even when we know we have truth on our side. Stephen was a man who boldly refused to back down from the truth. Let’s listen to Liam's preaching from Acts 7 to hear how Stephen responds when faced with threats and false charges, simply for preaching God’s truth.

This week on No Falling Word, we continue with part 2 of our study in Acts chapter 6. Stephen has been performing miracles in the name of Jesus, and the message of the gospel continues to threaten the establishment. As a result, Stephen is soon brought before the Sanhedrin on false charges, yet is still willing to risk everything for the life-changing truth of the gospel.

On No Falling Word, Liam Goligher teaches from Acts 6, where a faithful man of God named Stephen is performing signs and wonders in Christ’s name. His unswerving commitment to the gospel message is critical to the survival of the early church, and to the spread of Christianity beyond the walls of Jerusalem.

This week on No Falling Word, Liam Goligher teaches from Acts 6, where a grievance within the early church body threatens the unity and growth of the movement. There’s much for us to learn today from the way the apostles addressed the situation at hand—full of the Spirit and wisdom.

Today on No Falling Word, we will conclude with the second half of last week’s message on Acts chapter 5. An angel of the Lord has freed the apostles from prison, and commissioned them to continue preaching the gospel. Join us as we discover a model of how we are to share the good news of Christ with others

Though Christianity is growing, the apostles meet with increasing resistance to the gospel message. They’re jailed by the authorities for healing and teaching in Christ’s name. When they’re released from prison by an angel of the Lord, what do you suppose they do next?

On No Falling Word, we conclude with part 2 of last week’s message in Acts chapter 4. After the believers decide to share everything with one another, they’re confronted with deception among them. Ananias and Sapphira sell some property and decide to hold back some money for themselves, while pretending to give it all to the church.

This week on No Falling Word, after receiving the power of the Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 4, the believers, unified in heart, mind and purpose, decide to share everything they own in common. They recognize that, by being generous with one another, they are giving to God.
