- A command to not commit premeditated murder (Exodus 20:13; Exodus 21:12; Matthew 5:21-26; I John 3:1-5).
- A command to not commit sexual immorality or adultery (Exodus 20:14; Leviticus 20:10; Matthew 5:27-30; I Corinthians 6:9-10; I Thessalonians 4:1-8).
- A command to not steal (Exodus 20:15; Exodus 21:16; Ephesians 4:28).
- A command to not lie (Exodus 20:16; Deuteronomy 18:16-21; Colossians 3:9-10).
- A command to not covet (Exodus 20:17; 2 Samuel 11-12; Ephesians 5:1-3).
