The Grace In Which We Stand

In Romans 5:1,2 Paul speaks of the Christian being justified by faith in Christ which gives us access to grace “in which we stand.” As believers in Jesus Christ we stand in the grace won for us by him. But how well do we understand the workings of this grace? Grace is one of those terms often employed, but too often not fully understood.

This weekend will be devoted to a sustained reflection on what the Bible teaches about the saving grace of God in the person of Jesus Christ. The Protestant Reformation took its stand in this grace, and it is our hope that this weekend will serve to help us do the same as we consider together what have come to be known as “the doctrines of grace.”

Sinclair Ferguson and W. Robert Godfrey have made it their life’s ambition to teach and instruct the church in a deeper knowledge and experience of the riches of grace as they come to us in the person of Jesus Christ.
